ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI – A crash on Wednesday, Aug. 27, has closed a portion of southbound U.S. 131, Allegan County sheriff’s deputies said.

The highway is shutdown at Mile Marker 61 in Waylon Township as crews work to clean up the crash.

The scene is still under investigation with several vehicles involved and multiple injuries reported. Speed appears to be a factor in the crash, police said.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area, if possible.
