NEW ORLEANS —

Tropical Storm Fernand is moving E at about 12 mph in the Atlantic with 45 mph winds.

The storm remains disorganized and lopsided, though it could briefly strengthen as it moves over warmer waters. Still, Fernand is expected to lose tropical characteristics and become post-tropical by late Wednesday, then dissipate by Friday. Advertisement

Fernand will stay east of Bermuda and poses no threat to Louisiana, the Gulf Coast, or the U.S. mainland.
