With less than two weeks to go before the start of the 2025 NFL regular season, there aren't exactly a lot of viable free agents still available. But there is one who could help the right team.
Za'Darius Smith is someone fans may have forgotten about a bit. But the defensive end had nine sacks, 17 quarterback hits and nine tackles for loss last season, and he's still available to sign. While he's about to turn 33 years of age, he may still have enough left in the tank for another productive year or two.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler posted on X (formerly Twitter ) that Smith is a "name to watch" and "multiple contending teams have checked in on" the veteran.
