NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - More than two months after an Orangeburg man was hit and killed by a driver who fled the scene, a second suspect has been arrested in his death.
Jarvis De Shaun Danzy, 25, of North Charleston, is charged with being an accessory after the fact of a felony.
Police say Danzy assisted the alleged driver, Chemar Ny’Zell Washington, 24, of Jamestown after he struck a pedestrian, identified as 25-year-old Jermaine Brown, on Otranto Road near Vistavia Road in the early hours of the morning June 19, then left the scene.
Danzy is specifically accused of helping Washington clean the car involved in the crash and driving him back to the scene of the crime and not informing authorities.
