DUBLIN — On Monday, it was just me, the wind and the sea. And some double bogeys.

I capped off a fantastic week in Ireland with a getaway, playing golf at The European Club about an hour south of Dublin along the Irish Sea. And yes, Tiger Woods’ course record 67 still stands.

As far as I could tell, I was the only golfer on the course the whole day. I opted to walk and the solitude left me alone with my thoughts. While I was on the course, I churned over Iowa State’s 24-21 win against Kansas State and what my experience outside of the United States was like.
