Scottsdale Recovery Center and Redeem Neighborhoods host a Heat Relief and Health Support pop-up at Cesar Chavez Park in Phoenix every Tuesday in September from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.,

The initiative offers a range of services to support community members in need, including free hydration and cooling resources for unsheltered individuals and families, as well as free Narcan distribution and training to help prevent opioid overdoses.

The program offers safe spaces to cool down, access to water and refreshments, and information on additional community resources. It also emphasizes support over displacement, ensuring that individuals are given help rather than being pushed out of public spaces due to extreme weather. Outreach includes guidance on recognizing and preventing heat-related illnesses
