Two men killed in shootings this week were identified by the Orleans Parish Coroner's Office Wednesday as 23-year-old Darnell Causey and 43-year-old Robert Rodriquez.

Causey was killed in a French Quarter shooting early Sunday morning. New Orleans Police Department officers found him with multiple gunshot wounds in the 600 block of Iberville Street at 3:12 a.m.

Paramedics transported him to a local hospital, where he later died, police said.

Investigators said Causey was in an argument with the shooter when shots were fired.

Rodriquez was shot dead in the 7th Ward the following morning. He was found with at least one gunshot wound at the 1700 block of Elysian Fields Avenue and was declared dead on scene, police said.

Police have not released updates in either case.
