(FOX40.COM) — Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left one person dead on Wednesday morning, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Police said officers responded to reports of a shooting around 12:45 a.m. in the 200 block of Bannon Street.

A man with a gunshot wound was found. He was taken to the hospital, where he died, police said.

Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are taking over the investigation due to the circumstances.

According to SPD, there is currently no suspect information.

SPD said that callers can be anonymous and may be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
