This story begins in 2024 in Pakistan, where the heat is exhausting and scorching. It all began with an act of barbarism, but it ended up becoming a symbol of hope and resilience. The protagonist: Cammie, a young camel whose life changed forever in a matter of seconds.

Like any animal in search of food, Cammie wandered into a field in Sindh. But far from satisfying her hunger, she was brutally attacked in a violent act. A man amputated one of her front legs.
