LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - In an emergency, seconds matter and the right resources make all the difference.

The brand new ambulance sitting inside Lexington’s Fire Station 16 puts future emergencies in the right hands.

“While our equipment is crucial, it is truly the brave members of the Lexington Fire Department who are the heart and soul of this organization. These men and women truly are Lexington’s bravest,” shared Chief Jason Wells, Lexington Fire Chief.

The name of the vehicle is EC13 for Emergency Care 13th. It’s the first addition to Lexington’s ambulance fleet since 2018. Mayor Gorton says she hopes lucky number 13 brings good luck to Lexington.
