ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - There’s a traffic alert for drivers in Rockcastle County.

Emergency crews have shut down part of U.S. 25 near Renfro Valley after what they are calling a small chlorine leak at a water treatment plant.

According to Rockcastle County Emergency Management, the leak has been contained, but the road was closed as a precaution while crews work the scene.

A special response team is on the way to help, but it’s unclear how long the road will remain closed or when the situation will be fully resolved.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.
