Canadian alternative-rock band 54-40 will perform in Whitehorse on Saturday, August 30, bringing two unreleased tracks and fan favourites to audiences at Shipyards Park.

Guitarist Dave Genn said the set will feature two new songs, “Running for the Fence” and “Go Get ’Em,” both recorded this spring in Porto, Portugal, with Toronto producer Warren Livesey. He added those tracks will appear on a new record set for an October release.

54-40 returns to Whitehorse for a free outdoor concert at Shipyards Park, part of Lotteries Yukon’s 50th anniversary celebrations in partnership with the Yukon Arts Centre. Tahltan and Cree artist Bria Rose will open the show prior to 54-40's 90-minute set, joined by Kris Moore.
