An iconic thriller and a pair of classic musicals will be part of Shaw Festival’s 2026 season lineup.
Anthony Shaffer’s “Sleuth,” which has been adapted into a movie three times, will mark the festival’s return to the Court House Theatre for the first time since the 2017 season, the Niagara-on-the-Lake theatre company announced Wednesday.
The Court House Theatre will be temporarily used by Shaw during reconstruction of Royal George Theatre on Queen Street, expected to open for the 2029 season.
In addition to “Sleuth,” directed by Peter Fernandes, the Court House will also host productions of Robert and David Goodale’s comedy “Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense,” directed by Brendan McMurt-Howlett, and a mystery project simply titled “A New Work in Progress.” It’s a special workshop
