Crews responded to a fire at a home and day care in Westmoreland County after neighbors reported hearing a loud "boom."
On Wednesday morning at around 10:45 a.m., a house fire started at 919 Wood Street in Derry Township. Neighbors say they heard an explosion, and Ronald Fetterman, who lives right next door, says that the explosion shook his house.
"I walk out my front door, and I see the patio, the porch on fire. Flames up over everything," Fetterman said.
Fetterman grabbed his dog and got out, but when he went back in for his cats, fire crews literally had to pull him out to safety.
