Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler is scheduled to report to jail in Tennessee on Sept. 29 after accepting a plea deal in a case involving DUI and gun charges.
Cutler, 42, entered a guilty plea to driving under the influence in court on Tuesday. He was arrested Oct. 17, 2024, after his Dodge Ram truck rear-ended a GMC in Franklin, Tenn.
He was sentenced to four days in the Williamson County Jail. He also must pay a $350 fine, serve one year of unsupervised probation and attend a DUI safety class. His driver’s license also was revoked.
Cutler initially was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI, implied consent, possession of a handgun while under the influence, and failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision, according to police.
