Dracut police are investigating after a home was struck by gunfire on Saturday morning, and bullets were found inside another home, officials said.
Officers responded at 4:25 a.m. to the area of Varnum Road and Robert Street for a report of gunfire, Dracut Police Chief Peter Bartlett said.
Upon arrival, officers found a dozen spent shell casings scattered, but no injuries were reported, the statement said.
Police said a neighbor’s home was also struck with at least four bullets that were found in the dining room and upstairs hallway.
A subsequent investigation determined that the shots were fired from a light-colored sedan that drove past the home, officials said.
