Alabama football could be without a starter on the offensive line Saturday against Florida State .

Jaeden Roberts , the Crimson Tide's expected starting right guard, has been out with a concussion. In his Florida State game week press conference, Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer said Roberts' status for Saturday was "still in question" and that he was "progressing" through concussion protocol.

In the SEC coaches call Wednesday, Aug. 27, DeBoer said Roberts has been practicing, but "very limited."

"He's making progress, but it's slow and steady," DeBoer said.

Offensive lineman Geno VanDeMark has been taking the majority of first-team reps at right guard in Roberts' absence, with Texas A&M transfer Kam Dewberry taking reps at left guard. Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Cros
