The Powerball jackpot has jumped to $850 million ahead of the scheduled Wednesday night drawing — making this the sixth largest jackpot in game history.
The $850 million jackpot has an estimated cash value of $383.7 million. The prize increased by $35 million since Wednesday morning, when the jackpot was at $815 million .
The Powerball jackpot has not been hit all summer, with the last $204.5 million jackpot prize won on May 31 in California.
This $850 million jackpot is the largest the game has had since April 6, 2024, when a $1.32 billion prize was won on a ticket sold in Oregon.
During Monday night’s drawing, one player in Massachusetts won $50,000. They bought their winning ticket at Home Plate in East Taunton.
