Cooler evening temperatures will bring a taste of fall to LSU's first game of the season on Saturday, an away game in Clemson, Mississippi.
It's a mixed blessing, though, with rain in the forecast as well, the National Weather Service said.
Kick-off time will be at 6:30 p.m. at Clemson Memorial Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ABC.
Baton Rouge fans watching the game from the comfort of a deck or porch chair outside at home will see a daytime high near 88 degrees — rather than the 90s of recent days — and a low on Saturday of around 73, the weather service said.
The temperatures will be held down by showers, thunderstorms and cloudiness in the Baton Rouge area, NWS meteorologist Rob Frye said.
"The rain impact will keep temperatures from soaring into the 90s, but we'll take whate
