A Glasgow wedding venue and restaurant accused of noise nuisance by council officers could be denied permission to be used as a function space.

City environmental health officers have visited the Haberdashery on Sauchiehall Street at night and confirmed noise levels were a "nuisance" to neighbours after a number of complaints from residents.

The premises has been operating as a "Sui Generis late-night use" for three years without planning permission according to Glasgow City Council.

Now officials are recommending planning permission be refused for part use of the restaurant premises for Sui generis use as an art gallery, wedding venue and function space among other activities including Friday and Saturday opening until midnight.
