A probe is underway after a man died following reports that two men had been found injured on a Lanarkshire street.
Emergency services were called to Braeside Crescent in Kirkmuirhill at around 4.45am on Wednesday, August 21, after the alarm was raised. Officers say that a 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 35-year-old man was also taken to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment. His condition is described as not life-threatening.
Detectives probing the death are treating the death as 'suspicious'. They say a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.
Police say extensive enquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
