BEREA — The Browns have already begun the process of turning over some of the initial 53-man roster. It started with Cleveland being awarded two players off waiver claims.
Those players were:
Raheim "Rocket" Sanders, RB, South Carolina (from Los Angeles Chargers)
Jarrick Bernard-Converse, DB, LSU (from New York Jets)
There will be corresponding moves in order to free up space on the 53-man roster for the new additions.
Teams had until noon Aug. 27 to submit any waiver claims they had on players who were cut the day before. Those claims were awarded based upon an order from worst-to-best in 2024.
That meant the Browns were second on the list and, thus, could be awarded any players they made a claim on. The only ones they would not get were ones who had also been claimed by the Tenne
