HAMPTON, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has identified the person killed in a crash Tuesday on Interstate 80.

The sheriff’s office said its preliminary investigation found that 25-year-old Adrian Washington was speeding on I-80 when he lost control of his vehicle, leaving the road and rolling several times in the south ditch of the interstate.

The car eventually landing in a bean field south of I-80.

Multiple callers to 911 reported the driver was ejected.

Hampton Fire Department and Aurora Fire and Ambulance responded to the scene and transported Washington to the Aurora Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Sheriff Jeromy McCoy said he along with the rest of the sheriff’s office expressed their condolences to the victim’s family.
