PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Peoria-based artists submitted over 130 pieces of artwork for the city’s new beautification program; however, only 23 pieces created by 21 artists qualified, including photographer Natalie Jackson .

Earlier this month, Peoria’s Public Arts Advisory Commission launched the Banners and Boxes Beautification Program . It features several pieces of artwork displayed on light post banners and traffic boxes throughout downtown, the Warehouse District, and Sheridan Village.

Jackson has been taking pictures professionally for about 25 years. She said all of her artwork originates from photography, but in the studio, she uses digital art and paints to manipulate the photo.
