EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Michigan State football kicks off its season on Friday night against Western Michigan, and Michigan State Athletic Director J Batt will get his first taste of a game day in East Lansing.

The Spartan A.D. spent an hour on Wednesday afternoon to address any questions the media might have regarding the start of his tenure, college athletics, and MSU football.

“Tremendous. Really enjoyed just getting here, exploring the state of Michigan, and getting to know our fan base, you know. As you know, we have an incredible Spartan athletics family, and so getting around the state, even across the country, to experience that has been awesome. And so glad our first game day is finally here for football on Friday, and can’t wait to get in Spartan Stadium,” said Batt.
