LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The City of Jackson kick-started its new Curb Appeal Program for homeowners.
The program is a part of a citywide movement to beautify residential areas. It will assist property owners with various projects for the front of their homes.
If you qualify, the city is offering up to $2,500, covering up to 80% of the cost per homeowner.
Cory Mays is the grant coordinator for Jackson’s Community Development Department. He says the program helps those who don’t have the time or money to complete their projects.
“Maybe they want to do something nice to the front of the house. They have something they’ve wanted to clean up for a while, but they can’t stretch the dollar far enough to get that done,” said Mays. “So, this program allows us to pay up to 80% of those expenses
