PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) - Tactical teams have responded to a northwest Portland neighborhood after a stabbing, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

Just after 9 a.m., officers responded to a report of a stabbing near Northwest 18th Avenue and Northwest Johnson Street.

Officers found one person injured at the scene. The victim was taken to a hospital and their current condition is not known.

PPB says the suspect is still in the area, and a shelter-in-place has been sent out to those in the neighborhood.

The Special Emergency Reaction Team is responding to the scene to assist officers.

People should avoid the area at this time.
