The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People's Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) expressed its firm rejection of the United States' military escalation in the Caribbean, in a statement. The United States government has deployed warships and a nuclear submarine to the region's waters.

"This action constitutes a serious threat to continental peace and security, violating the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace and the Treaty of Tlatelolco, which prohibits nuclear weapons on our continent," the statement said.

In this regard, they demanded an immediate cessation of these hostile maneuvers by the US government.
