ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A former Steuben County Sheriff’s Office deputy pleaded guilty Wednesday to child pornography charges, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors said 35-year-old Stuart McHenry admitted to possessing child pornography involving a prepubescent minor.

Investigators said McHenry had multiple illegal images, including at least one depicting a child under the age of 12. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children flagged the case after receiving an alert from the messaging app Kik, which reported that a user uploaded around 25 files of suspected child pornography.
