Households across the UK are set to face another energy bills hike after Ofgem increased its price cap.

The regulator announced it will be rising its price cap by 2% from October 1, 2025.

It sets a maximum rate per unit and standing charge which can be billed to customers for their energy use.

The change means that a typical household's bills will increase to £1,755 from the current £1,720.

This is about an extra £2.93 a month, over the three-month period of the price cap.
