MINNEAPOLIS — As the community begins to reckon with the deaths of at least two children caught in a mass shooting at a Minneapolis Catholic school Wednesday, groups started banding together to make space to honor the victims.

The Annunciation Church announced it will hold a public prayer vigil at 7 p.m. inside the Academy of Holy Angels High School gym, located at 6600 Nicollet Ave. S.

Also at 7 p.m., the Lutheran Church of Christ Redeemer is encouraging the community to gather at its sanctuary, located at 5540 Penn Ave. S.

An hour later, Protect Minnesota and Moms Demand Action will host a candlelight vigil at Minneapolis Lynnhurst Park, located at 1345 W. Minnehaha Parkway.
