LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Nevada officials are set to give an update Wednesday afternoon on the state’s response to a recent cyber attack that disrupted government systems over the weekend.

On Wednesday, the Governor’s Technology Office, directors of state agencies, and federal partners will host a news conference at 4 p.m. inside the Old Assembly Chambers at the Nevada State Capitol in Carson City.

According to the governor’s office, the state first identified a network security incident early Sunday morning. Tuesday evening, the governor’s office announced the state was targeted in a cyber attack and that the incident was under an active state and federal investigation.
