OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A Council Bluffs man was sentenced in July for possession of child pornography and possession of a firearm as a felon.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of Iowa announced Tuesday that David Michael Morse, 55, was sentenced to serve 15 years in prison.

According to court records, Morse received and uploaded an image of child sexual abuse material. During a search of his residence, law enforcement seized his electronics and firearms.

After he is released from prison, Morse will be required to serve a five-year term of supervised release.

There is no parole in the federal system. Morse was also ordered to pay restitution of $9,000.
