Ashland Fire Department officials assessed over 40 students at David Mindness Elementary School after bees swarmed the students getting on and off buses on Wednesday.
Firefighters were dispatched at around 9:23 a.m. after the department learned of multiple students who were stung by bees, the fire department said in a statement .
First responders arrived and assessed the students for any potential allergic reactions or other medical concerns, the statement read.
No one was hospitalized and all of the students were released back on campus, the fire department stated.
