Three days after Patches bolted from her home in Lebo, Joshua and Michelle Baker thought she was most likely deceased. The seven-pound miniature schnauzer, the pet of Michelle’s parents, suffers from hip dysplasia. Joshua and Michelle scoured the county and posted on Facebook to try to find her whereabouts, but with only a handful of sightings since her disappearance, they were not hopeful.
“Everybody was thinking, ‘the dog's gone, she's got hit by something or picked up by another animal.’ We were pretty much counting our losses until today,” Joshua said.
