IDA GROVE, Iowa (KTIV) - September is Hunger Action Month.

In Iowa, 344,550 people don’t know where they will find their next meal, according to Feeding America. That includes more than 110,000 children.

Have you ever had to choose between paying a bill and buying food for your family?

If you live in Odebolt, Kiron, Ida Grove, Arthur, Battle Creek, Holstein, or Galva, you can use the local food pantry, Ida Community Basket, to help feed your family.

Thirteen years ago, the hospital administrator created a spot for a mobile pantry, launching the Ida Community Basket. This month marks 13 years for the Ida Community Basket, helping feed families one basket of food at a time.
