A Tennessee man has been sentenced in connection with the 2022 death of an Ole Miss student in downtown Oxford.

On Monday, August 25, 30-year-old Seth Garron Rokitka, of Collierville, entered a plea agreement with the Third Circuit District Attorney’s Office. Rokitka pled guilty to Leaving the Scene of an Accident Causing Death and Aggravated DUI in the death of Walker Fielder.

Under the agreement, Rokitka was sentenced to 10 years in prison for leaving the scene and five years for aggravated DUI, with the sentences to run consecutively. The additional five-year DUI sentence will be suspended following the completion of the 10-year term.
