The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that happened early Wednesday morning on Highway 11.

According to officials, the crash happened on August 27, 2025, at approximately 6:00 a.m. A 2022 Honda motorcycle driven by 35-year-old Dustin Fried of Poplarville was traveling north on Highway 11 when it collided with a 2018 Dodge Ram. The truck, driven by 63-year-old George Nussbaum of Carriere, was traveling east from Sones Chapel Drive.

Fried suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Nussbaum was not injured.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol said the crash remains under investigation.
