Comedian Reggie Carroll was fatally shot in Mississippi

Tranell Williams has been arrested in connection with the comedian's shooting

Williams has been identified by several people as an employee of Katt Williams, with whom Carroll had been on a tour recently

The man arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of comedian Reginald "Reggie" Carroll was reportedly an employee of fellow comedian Katt Williams , per several reports.

Carroll was shot on Wednesday, Aug. 20, in Southaven, Miss., the Southaven Police Department (SPD) said in a statement last week.

Authorities promptly announced a man had been charged with murder, but did not name him in the statement.
