SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Part of Clyde Fant Parkway will be closed near the Jimmie Davis Bridge for the bridge replacement work on the Shreveport side.
Starting on Sept. 8, there will be a road closure on the southbound lanes of Clyde Fant Parkway under Jimmie Davis Bridge, and the eastbound ramp from Clyde Fant Parkway to East 70th Street westbound in Shreveport.
Louisiana Department of Transportation Development (DOTD) says the closure is scheduled for two weeks and is necessary for the ongoing $360 million Jimmie Davis Bridge replacement project to perform roadway repairs on Clyde Fant Parkway.
Motorists should plan alternate routes while the road is closed.
The bridge itself will still be accessible from East 70th Street.
