DOWNTOWN — AN ASSOCIATE OF THE TRANSNATIONAL MS-13 gang, Juan Amaya-Ramirez, aka “Cadaver,” age 27, was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Brooklyn to 45 years in prison for his role in the April 23, 2018 murder of 17-year-old Andy Peralta in Kissena Park, Queens, according to a release from the Eastern District of New York. Two other gang members were also involved: Queens resident Oscar Flores-Mejia, aka “Chamuco,” age 25; and Virginia resident Leyla Carranza, 24, Amaya-Ramirez’ girlfriend, who lured the victim to his death.
