CHARLOTTE, N.C. — North Carolina Tar Heels head coach Bill Belichick continues to make headlines before the team has even hit the field.

TCE Rights Management LLC, a company owned by Belichick and managed by Jordon Hudson, his girlfriend, filed a trademark on Monday for the term "Gold Digger." The company intends to sell jewelry and key chains with the term, according to a filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Belichick and Hudson's relationship has been in the spotlight throughout 2025, with reports stating she was banned from UNC football facilities , Hudson interrupting an interview Belichick gave with CBS Sports, and public backlash over the couple's age difference. Belichick is 73. Hudson is 24.
