DYERSBURG, Tenn. (WMC) - A man is dead and another was wounded in a Tuesday night shooting in Dyersburg.

The shooting happened just before 11 p.m. at Ab’s Vape and Tobacco Shop on Main Street.

Nireonte Mayberry, 25, was killed in the shooting.

A 20-year-old man was also shot and airlifted to Regional One in Memphis.

Officers arrived at the scene to find Mayberry dead.

The other victim was not at the scene but found shortly after, seeking medical attention.

Police say the shooting appears to have been self-defense, but did not say which man was the aggressor.
