ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - The Gateway Regional Law Enforcement Training Center has been announced as a collaborative effort between St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Jefferson County and Franklin County to enhance police training.
The center will feature advanced training facilities, including replicas of urban streets, a home interior, virtual reality simulator rooms and a specialized firing range.
This initiative--which has been in development for 17 years--aims to equip law enforcement officers with the necessary tools to better serve their communities.
A $50 million state grant will fund the construction of the training center. Despite this news, there is no word yet on when the groundbreaking will be announced.
