MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The former dean of students of Sun Prairie West High School was indicted Wednesday on federal child pornography charges.

The U.S. Department of Justice announced Robert Gilkey-Meisegeier is accused of producing, attempting to produce and possessing child pornography.

According to the indictment, the 30-year-old allegedly produced and attempted to produce images of child pornography on May 16. He had images of child pornography on June 1.

The production-related charges face up to 30 years in prison, while the possession count faces a maximum of 10 years.

The DOJ said the Sun Prairie Police Department was assisted by UW Police Department, the Wisconsin DOJ Division of Criminal Investigation and the FBI.
