BATTLE GROUND, Wash. - 12 people were arrested over the weekend as part of an operation identifying alleged sexual abuse and exploitation of children.

A majority of the suspects hailed from Oregon and Washington. One person in custody was originally from Liberty Lake, according to a press release from Washington State Patrol (WSP).

WSP, Clark County law enforcement agencies, as well as other partner agencies including the Spokane Police Department and Kittitas County Sheriff's Office.

The operation was headed up by WSP's Missing and Exploited Children Task Force (MECTF), which has made over 350 arrests since beginning in 2015.
