DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- Two more defendants were sentenced to decades in jail in connection to a 2023 murder in Trotwood.

Montgomery County Prosecutor Mat Heck Jr. announced the sentencing of two more defendants after the body of 27-year-old Jaykwan Hardy was found inside a burning home in 2023.

Police and firefighters were dispatched to the 5300 block of Gardendale Avenue on March 12, 2023. Upon arrival, a home was found burning, and once the fire was put out, investigators discovered Hardy's body.

Police say Hardy was shot several times, and further investigation found that several items from the residence were missing, including Hardy's vehicle.

After gathering video surveillance, witness statements and other evidence, police identified four suspects.
