JASPER, Texas (KTRE) - A man from Buna is headed to federal prison for gun violations and drug trafficking, the U.S. Attorney’s Office says.
Leotis Cornelius McMahon, 48, was convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute following a three-day trial before U.S. District Judge Marcia A. Crone on February 5, 2025.
McMahon was sentenced to 400 months, just over 33 years, in federal prison by Judge Crone on Wednesday.
According to information presented in court, in 2023 law enforcement was investigating McMahon for distributing drugs in Southeast Texas.
