THEBES, Ill. (KFVS) - The family of 75-year-old Roger “Stretch” Tucker wanted to honor his years of dedication to the trucking industry when they laid him to rest today.
The unique tribute comes six days after Tucker lost his life in an accident involving his rig.
Semi trucks lined the parking lot at the church, honked their horns and participated in the procession to the cemetery.
Tucker’s children invited Heartland News to the church that hosted their father’s service to share the special send-off they planned for their dad.
“Yeah, well, he was the best dad, the best friend, and he was a trucker for 57 years,” said Amber Tucker, daughter of Roger Tucker.
