SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) -- A South Dakota woman is the new head of the largest group of Catholic sisters in the United States.
Sister Vicky Larson, of the Presentation Sisters, was installed as president of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious during their assembly last week in Atlanta.
Larson's new role will chart a course for the future of thousands of sisters across the nation.
The Presentation Sisters were excited to find out that one of their own is the new president of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious.
"The sisters back home, there's three-dozen of us, and they're like wow! You're the president of the LCWR! Do we have to bow, or something? No, no, no. I still wear my blue jeans on Saturdays and my t-shirt coming down to prayers," Leadership Conference of Women
